 B14 - a unique high performance experience

A scaled-down 18 foot skiff the B14 delivers exhilarating sailing, high quality international racing and as much fun as you can handle. It is the fastest two person ‘body-swung’ sailing boat in the world. Hiking from the wide wings, blasting along at 20 knots with over 50 sq.m. of downwind sail area is like nothing else in the world. It is a drug that attracts a growing number of addicts around the world.

An ISAF Recognised Class, we hold World, European and National Championships at the best venues in Europe, and Australia. Our aim is to provide simple, one design, low-cost sailing for people who enjoy the adrenalin rush of sailing light-weight, high performance skiffs.

Boat Show Grand Prix 2010 - Friday, November 13, 2009

We have been invited back to Excel and asked to hold skiff racing at the London Boat Show, for the last four years it has been a tremendous success and a real crowd puller. Once again we will have a live commentary and a feed back into the show – it is a must for anyone who needs exposure for their sponsor.
The event will take place in the docks next to Excel on the last Saturday of the show – 16th Jan. This year it will be 29ers, 49ers and B14s.
If you speak to anyone who has done it in the past they will tell you it is quite an experience, we can only take up to 10 boats, up from 6 in previous years per class. The prizes are well worth having.
If you would like to come there is free parking and free tickets to the show. Dave Hall can usually get extra free tickets for family and friends.
The time table is 3 (no discard) races per fleet starting at 12 00 for the 29ers, 1300 for the 49ers and 1400
for the B14s with a prize giving on the main stage in the show at 1700.
Launch from the west end of the dock – full map and instructions available!
Don't miss your opportunity to take part and give your sponsors an excellent day of exposure.
We will have the various top winners over 2009 attending and if you'd also like to attend please list on the thread on the forum.

B14 Inlands and TT Series 2009 - Thursday, November 05, 2009
The B14 circus is heading to Grafham this weekend for their Inlands and final TT event of the year. There should be a good turnout as the conditions look to be peachy. To add spice to the event, the TT series is still up for grabs. The Anthill Mob (Tim Harrison/Johnny Radcliffe) and Seavolution 1 (Mark Barnes/Pete Nicholson) are level on points. So top prize will go to the team that finishes ahead of the other, assuming that both do not finish outside the top 10. If they do then there are another 5 teams hovering to take the big prize. Also the best Newcomer is to close to call with Team Allen (Alex Willard/Dan Hollands) and Bluebird (Rhys Triffit/Simon Reynolds) separated by one bad score. So with the weekend’s forecast and current Inlands Champions Ronstan (Mike Bees/Ferrett) defending their trophy against a who’s who, it looks to be a really tight event. Who will survive the big Saturday night and who will be standing proud on Sunday. It's going to go to the wire.

A Little bit of France- the Rhys Perspective- Why we all should be going to Carnac... - Sunday, Octo
Well this is a little write up on a a country that well and truly won me over.

In case any of you Aussie B14 sailors were thinking about staying in Australia next winter, think again!! Not only will you miss out on a World title (we all know how good they are) you'll also be missing out on seeing one of the most spectacular countries in the world.

As many of you know i have been overseas this year, travelling and keeping out of trouble of course. I visited France for 10 days and it won me over the moment I stepped off the plane. I got a chance to see all the sights of Paris and also Carnac, the venue for the 2010 World Championships.   read more...
