Editor's Note: Day 1 didn't happen due to strong wind- the race officer took the readings and confirmed it was (well!) above the class rule limits. Crazy Boules happened, as well as much "socialising". The day 2 report was written by Mr Davis who may have been increasingly "tired and emotional" and received "help" from many others.

After much deliberation and a public vote, the dates for the 2012 European championships have been decided.
Racing will be held from Friday 24th to Monday 27th August 2012 at Le Centre Nautique de Plérin, Brittany, France, with measurement and practice on Thursday 23rd. The event is being put together by Sebastian Le Cam, after he kindly "volunteered" to organise it at the UK nationals, and this is a home event for Sophie and him.
More information is available in this pack (note that the schedule will be updated in line with the above dates) to help you start choosing your accomodation. Look to the forum for more and to arrange double stackers etc.
We've had two fantastic events in Brittany in the last couple of years, this is sure to be a third one. See you there!

Not to distract from the excitment of the Worlds in Perth, the UK and French events team are well into arranging next year's European Championships. The venue will be in northern Brittany, at the Centre Nautique du Plérin (here on the map), about an hour and half drive from St Malo and Roscoff ferry ports (less time if you're Barry). For those from Britain that prefer a shorter ferry crossing, there's a good road all the way along the north of France. The date has yet to be decided but we'll try to get this to you as soon as possible. Sébastien and Sophie look forward to seeing as many as possible at their home club.
