We have been talking to shipping companies over the last couple of months and have an indication of costs to get our boats out there. From previous experience, we can get 12 boats into one 40ft high cube container. Assuming we will be shipping 12, it is likely to cost around £1,000 per boat.

If we have more than 12 boats committing, we have the option of taking a 20ft container as well.
Costs cannot be finalised this early but we are working on these figures for now.

We have found in the past that it is really important to the B14 members organising this and to the event organisers in Oz that we have early commitment to a space in the first container. Indications are that there are quite a few people keen to go and. It would be awesome to have a large UK and Europe presence at the event to make it one to remember.

So, assuming the world is relatively back to normal at some point this year, it would be helpful to get a good understanding of who is interested and keen to go. Can you please email Simon Hadley (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and Gerry Fermor (This email address is being protected from spambots. It would be helpful if you could quote your boat sail number and indicate intention of going, say, 50/100% likely (assuming no travel or other virus-related restrictions).
