After yesterdays warmup, the Australian B14 National championships got underway in a shifty, east south easterly breeze of about 8 to 10 knots. The fleet of 24, 10 from interstate hit the start line early and on the first start a general recall resulted after too many boats were unidentifiable after the start.

Only 3 events remain of the Seavolution Winter Series be sure to get your entries in to these events to avoid disappointment as places are limited.
At the time of writing we have 4 B's entered for Grafham, 8 for Starcross and 1 for the Tiger Trophy. Starcross is looking like a fantastic turnout for a winter event, a social has been organised for the night before (Contact Tony for details)

The B14 class association is pleased to announce that Gul Watersports Ltd are to take title sponsor for the UK B14 TT series, UK Nationals and UK Inland Championships through 2016. Bringing one of the marine industry's premium brands on board in GUL to compliment the dynamic B14, the class will be working to promote the two brands within the sailing world through 2016
To also spice it up, every time a B14 attends one of the B14 GUL Watersports Ltd sponsored events, they will receive one entry into the end of season draw for two nights DBB at the Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall, including a surf and or SUP lesson.

Six B14s from the B14 Flying Circus made the trip to Datchet Water for the GJW Direct Sailjuice Datchet Flyer.
The forecast was for a building breeze on the first day and rain on the second. Day 1 had 3 races scheduled back to back with a 100 minute pursuit race on Sunday. Pursuit would be non-discardable with 1 discard from the other 3.
The fleet hit the water to be greeted by a force 4. However, the wind soon started to build, with 102 dinghies of varying speed, it was going to be an interesting day on the water sailing the P course. With the breeze up to 20 knots at the start, the first attempt ended in a recall. On the restart under black flag in 25 plus knots, the fast handicap launched at speed up the course...
